Not all Agents are created equal...

If you are considering selling your property, choosing a Listing Agent is a very important first step. Your choice can directly effect the time your home spends on the market, the marketing/presentation and eventually the sales price. Likewise, choosing a Buyer’s Agent is equally important when you are looking to purchase a property. The right Agent can help you find a property that best suites your needs and help you negotiate the best possible price.

In both scenarios, do your homework.

1) Is the Agent full-time?  There are many agents in our area but very few that are actually working everyday in real estate.  The full-time agent knows the market and the area and is depending on sales for their income. This means they are working harder and smarter to get results for their client.

2) Do they have a website? Today’s Buyers are shopping online! Review their website thoroughly.  How many pictures do they have for each property?  Do they offer virtual tours? Is the content current? First impressions are everything and most Buyers are making their decisions about your home based on what they see online.

3) Ask around. Friends & family can be a great source of information.  Who have they used? What did they like or not like? You can also read reviews online through websites like zillow.com or trulia.com. Gather as much feedback as you can to make an informed decision.
